Claire is an Australian Sculptor based in Sydney.

From an early age Claire had an interest in art and the handmade, a passion which was nurtured throughout her schooling. After graduating from high school in 2012, Claire studied sculpture at the National Art School (NAS) where her aesthetic and practical skills developed.

Working within the field of abstraction Claire explores references to the figure and landscape within the forms of her pieces. Working with two seemingly opposing materials; stone and felt, she explores the ways in which both mediums can produce associations.

In 2019 she enjoyed an internship at Tapatjatjaka Art and Craft, Titjikala, where she had the opportunity to work with Indigenous artists, live on community and learn new skills.  While in Central Australia Claire attended Desert Mob with Tapatjatjaka Art and Craft, where she met The Central Australian Aboriginal Women’s Choir whose costumes were designed by the artists at Titjikala.  Due to Covid-19 travel restrictions in 2020, Claire has been unable to revisit Titjikala or other remote communities.
